Just thought I would mention this cool new plugin: "Sasquatch Kick Machine" by Boz Digital Labs. I have been involved in beta testing it, and it is truly a unique approach to drum augmentation. But to limit it to that role would be to ignore it's potential, because it is capable of much more. Anyhow, if you're interested, check it out:

Interesting!

Thanks for putting the link up.
I like what it did to the kick on the CMT multitrack of "What I Want". Listening to other mixes of this song, it does add
some much-needed thump to the drum.

Now all I need is some spare $...I'll pass the hat around ;)

Hey Dags, no problem - Actually, it's funny, but I only just realized now when you mentioned it that Brandon (from Recordingreview.com) used that "What I Want" example on the advertising material - That's actually my mix of the song! (I still haven't finished that mix, BTW!) During beta testing, I posted it on his site to show one of the uses for Sasquatch, so it seems like he co-opted it... cool!

Adding sub bass to the kick certainly wouldn't work on every rock mix, but that particular song just seemed to be begging for it - I think it had the space to accommodate it. Sasquatch is perfect for that sort of thing, because it is so controllable.

Oh, & I forgot to mention, you can demo it "unhindered".
