Ok time to put up or shut up, this is my entry into The Time and Space Conerto competition.

It's called Cry of a Storm and is a three movement peice with a coda.

The first movement is more or less a string quartet but with a twist, me on electric guitar, a 303 synth in the middle section. The sonic ping, which is actually the Neon VSTi from Cubase and if I remember correctly the first VSTi ever. I use it in my music a lot normally as the sound of the heartbeat monitor, so it means there is still life. In this peice it's more like a submarine, I suppose. There is also a Siren, which is the M-Tron womans voice and some music concrete.

Movement two, is entirly music concrete, sea sounds, seagulls, whales, wind and thunder fed into various effects processes, the siren and the sonic ping also return.

Movement three is more like rock, but with a string quartet. It features more electric guitar and 303 and this time Rock Drums.

The coda is the string quartet and more music concrete.

I won't win but I thouught it was important to put something in. The funny thing is I got a message on twitter from the Space and Time comp people and I haven't even finished my entry so I don't even know they got my twitter account (I hope they don't read too much of what I say on twitter) but they said, "sounding great, have you entered?".

So it gave me heart, if not hope. My biggest problem is how to I preform something like this, do I play the guitar parts with the orchestra, or do I do a dj thing??

Ok Peace Ben
