Eclectic Music is headed up by Composer Alex Gomez and Producer Matt Hayward. The primary role of the establishment is music production for the advertising industry. The studio was formed in 2009 out of remnants from the ‘music department’ of Sound Reservoir, one of Sydney’s premier audio post production facilities. Eclectic Music Studios now operate out of the Wharf Studios complex in Pyrmont, which also houses Sound Reservoir. Creature comforts at Eclectic Music Studios comprise an extremely roomy and comfortable control room, an extremely large live room, and separate vocal isolation booth.
The core system is a stonked up Mac ProTools rig, keyed into an SSL Matrix console as its front end, with Apogee converters and Focusrite Mic pre’s allowing for a crystal clear signal path and quality recordings. The studio also offers plenty of mics, guitars, drums, and there’s analogue gear lying around all over the place!
