The NF Audio and Earthling Designs headquarters in Sydney, NSW is the shared nerve-centre of sound-type, Nick Franklin, and tech-guy, Lachlan Colquhoun.

NF Audio provides mixing and mastering services from the in house mixing studio, which also acts as a testing ground for NF Audio and Earthling Designs products. NF Audio also manufactures studio gadgets like DI boxes, re-amplifying devices and passive mixers.

Earthling Designs repairs and services all types of professional audio and guitar equipment. Earthling also manufactures boutique studio gear such as preamps, compressors, and guitar effects.

The NF Audio studio employs recording equipment such as an Allen & Heath Zed 420 mixing console, Yamaha HS80m studio monitors, Tascam MS-16 16 track tape recorder/reproducer, a ProTools system sporting 18 I/O channels, UREI 1178 stereo compressor/limiter, Earthling Designs Class A Green pre, NF Audio GSSL Mixbuss Compressor, Joe Meek TwinQ channel strip, NF Audio G Pultec Passive EQ, and an Aphex Compellor Compressor/Leveller.
