d&b audiotechnik has hired David Claringbold as its new chief marketing officer. The former director of the Sydney Opera House has served as part of the d&b advisory board since last year. The new role sees Claringbold relocate to Germany to work out of d&b HQ. The position entails leading marketing communications, public relations, brand management, market intelligence, and product management.
‘David is a leader with an exceptional track record of achievement at the highest level of the arts, technology and business,’ stated Mr Harman. ‘For decades he’s not only been familiar with the international pro audio industry but also with d&b systems. He has a clear vision of how markets around the world will change and how new demands and opportunities for pro audio solutions emerge.’
‘My relationship with d&b goes back to the late 1990s and throughout that time I’ve been continuously impressed by the quality of the products and engineering,’ said Mr Claringbold. ‘At d&b the focus is only ever on one thing: developing solutions that go beyond expectation. I’m absolutely thrilled, and honoured, to be joining the team.’
