The StudioLive 32 has officially been released. Nine years since StudioLive first entered the market, Presonus reckons all they’ve learnt along the way has gone into the new mixer. With 40 inputs (33 recallable XMAX preamps) and motorised faders, StudioLive 32 sees Fat Channel processing re-engineered and presented a little more neatly. Vintage-style EQs and compressors join the list. AVB networking is built-in, as well as multitrack Capture recording to SD card that’ll import seamlessly into a Studio One session — fader levels, Channel settings and all. And it’s worth saying again, motorised faders! 33 of them. No need to buy a dedicated Presonus control surface anymore. Heaps of customisation options have been added — the Fat Channel layout can be configured for easy access to your favourite parameters, the mixer can be controlled with multiple iPads, and you an even set a different view on each. Under the hood, you get 16 FlexMixes for auxes, subgroups or matrix mixes, four dedicated subgroups, and four effects buses.
