SHURE SELLS CUSTOM MCCARTNEY & THE WHO SM58 EDITIONS

Shure is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary SM58 by partnering with Paul McCartney and The Who to create 600 serialised graphic painted models. All of the proceeds go directly towards Paul McCartney’s Meat Free Monday and The Who’s Teen Cancer America foundations. The McCartney SM58 will feature cover art from the album Kisses on the Bottom photographed by Mary McCartney, and The Who special edition will have original artwork from graphic designer Richard Evans, The Who’s promotional and cover artist since 1976.
Shure will manufacture 300 of each mic. The first 10 of both McCartney and The Who editions will have hand-signed autographs on the mic handles. These will be auctioned through eBay for Charity, with all proceeds heading to the artists; charities. The rest, with serial numbers 11-300, will be listed for sale at a fixed price.
