Clarett Goes USB

By

29 January 2018

Focusrite has launched USB-C versions of its Clarett interfaces. The are three models in the range: the Clarett 2Pre USB (10-in, 4-out), Clarett 4Pre USB (18-in, 8-out) and Clarett 8Pre USB (18-in, 20-out). Focusrite states a dynamic range of 119dB on all of them, and they come with low-noise preamps that are capable of the ISA-modelling Air feature we’ve come to love.

Audio resolution is up to 24-bit/192k and the Clarett interfaces connect to your Mac or PC via standard USB-C or USB connections. Latency levels are said to be low enough that you can record through amp sims and other effects. XLN Audio, Focusrite, Softube, Ableton and Loopmasters software is included.
